Senior Pictures, Baton Rouge, Rebekah – Dutchtown

Meet beautiful Dutchtown senior Rebekah!

Name: Rebekah Hinson

What school do you attend?  Dutchtown High School

Why do you think it’s important to take senior pictures? I think it’s important to take senior pictures because they allow you to mark a significant chapter of your life ending. Your senior pictures are reflective of how much you’ve grown and matured during your high school career, and I believe that’s an important thing that everyone should be able to experience.

Why did you choose Luckett’s to take yours? I chose to go to Luckett’s for my senior pictures because I’ve always loved how beautiful the portraits looked. I had a friend who took their senior portraits at Luckett’s my freshman year, and ever since I saw how professional and gorgeous their pictures were, I knew I had to come here to take my pictures!

Do you have any tips on how to prepare for your session, or advice on what to bring to your session? I suggest prepping your skin with a face mask the night before and making sure you stick to your skin care routine in the weeks approaching your session so you can not only look beautiful for your shoot, but also feel beautiful while you’re taking your pictures.

Regarding what to bring to your session, I suggest a good attitude and a smile! Of course, a few cute outfits wouldn’t hurt either. I would suggest bringing somewhere between 4-5 outfits, just so that you can have some things to choose from when you get there. Make sure you bring the outfits that you feel truly reflect your personal style!

What would you say are the must have accessories for the perfect senior session? In my opinion, the absolute best accessories that you could bring to have the perfect senior session would be a good statement piece, whether that be a bold pair of heels or even some big, colorful earrings. Of course, this is all up to you and what you want your pictures to look like, so even if you don’t bring glitzy shoes or earrings, the best statement piece of all would be YOU!

Would you recommend bringing props to your senior session? Why or why not? I think that you should bring things that represent what you’re interested in and the things that really made your high school career, or even your whole life, special to you. Whether that be a letterman jacket from a sport, an instrument, or ballet shoes! I know that for my portraits, I want to show how special music is to me and how it has shaped me as a person, so I really would like to have that incorporated into my senior portraits.

How would you describe your style?  I would describe my style as a mix of modern and retro, because I love how fashion from the 70’s is starting to come back, but I also love the modern twist that has been put on those iconic styles of the 70’s and 90’s.

What type of look were you going for during your session? Honestly, I just chose outfits that I thought were the cutest pieces I had in my closet. I wanted to make sure that the overall look I was portraying in my pictures was beauty and elegance. When people look at my pictures, I want them to see how much I’ve grown and how I’ve developed into a sophisticated and beautiful young woman.

What was your favorite outfit and why? My favorite outfit was my green romper with the train. I feel like that outfit really showcases my style the best and I just love how I feel in it.

Who’s your celebrity crush? My celebrity crush is definitely Harry Styles! I love that man and his music.

What are you scared of? To give a surface-level answer, I’m afraid of the dark. But honestly, I would say that I’m afraid of being alone and not knowing what to do if something were to happen to me.

What’s your favorite food? It might sound weird, but I’ve always said that my favorite food is caesar salad. It’s always my go-to meal at any restaurant!

Favorite places to shop? I love shopping at boutiques like Virgo Boutique, Blu Spero, and Francesca’s. I also shop at places like Dillards and JCPenny’s though, because sometimes they have really cute stuff.

What’s your favorite movie? My favorite movie is probably Dirty Dancing, or any classic chick flick, honestly.

What’s your best high school memory? My best high school memory would have to be when it was announced that my band in high school had made 6th place in the state at the Showcase of Marching Bands in Lafayette my junior year.
